just the opposite of what i want...today i sported some pretty jagged edges when i really crave the clean ones. makes me wonder sometimes if i have it in me to smooth myself out and floss those clean edges. i don't like to be messy and yet today, i'm mighty messy. falling prey to little irritations that snowball into big irritations that spawn uglies and baddies that build up the black gunk i just spewed out and cleaned up. sigh...hells, it's cyclic.
so...giving myself a mental shake and pulling out some sand paper. gonna clean up those jagged edges and be all shiny and fresh again.
my days seem dominated by moods and 'tudes- mine or someone else's...seems like an apt name for a chaotic blog.

- spaghetti and meatballs and football on a sunday afternoon- with extra garlic bread of course
- fleeting connections with total strangers
- new dishes! woohooo!
- checking tasks off my list one by one
- the Food Network (esp Alton Brown)
- seeing a sad face break into a brilliant smile
- overcoming adversity gracefully
- lazy Saturday mornings with someone i might love a wee
- bubble baths with a book and hot chocolate
- candles flickering bravely against the dark
- walking into my cozy kitchen and seeing all my stuff, my history, my life in hues of red and gold
- kissing in the rain
- poring through cookbooks
- pink sheets
- pictures of loved ones strewn about my personal space
- light bulbs beaming above my students' heads
- live music that flows through my veins, matches my heartbeat, and dissolves me into emotion
- doggy kisses from alley
- hugs from my boys
- the smell of garlic and onions and peppers gettin happy in the cast iron skillet
- stormy clouds that bump and snarl above me

- light dancing through colored glass
